Al was a great man and was a great administrator at Greenon.

He hired me for my first teaching job to work at Indian Valley. I was always greatful that he recruited and hired me to come back home to my Alma Mater. I will always be greatful that he saw something in me!

Rest In Peace dear Al!

Al was my principal in some way my whole school life. He was the Dad in the school and it always felt safe when he was around. He always had a kind word for me and my mom. I remember chili supper carnivals at IV and the jail (with my mom, the clown). They don’t come like Al any more. When I ran for school board the first time, I met with Al to get a handle on the job. His advice was golden. I’m so sorry for the loss of him, but grateful I got to know him.

I remember Alvin as being a great superintendant for the Mad River Green (now Greenon) as being a great friend and giving me a chance as i was told by him i would be his next choice as an employee for the district. I wish i had the opportunity to thank him for giving me the chance. He was by all means a great friend, i appreciated to have known him. I know there has been a few after him but none as great as he was. May you rest in peace my friend and hope one day we will meet again, may God bless youin many ways.
