Betty Jean Whitt, a cherished and beloved resident of Fairborn, Ohio, passed away on February 14, 2026, at the age of 82. Born in Dayton, Ohio, on March 14, 1943, Betty grew up in Fairborn, where she became known for her resilient and selfless nature.
Betty was a devoted wife to her husband, Elwood Whitt, and a faithful mother to her children, Jimmy Whitt, Valerie Whitt (Henry Chmielewski). Her grandchildren, Bridget Chmielewski, Alexys Becraft, and Brandon Becraft, were a source of great joy and pride for her. She also survived by her great grandchildren: Chandler, Blaine and Tatum.
Betty is preceded in death by her twin brother, Bobby Hurley (Lilly Hurley) her sisters, Elizabeth Stacy, Judy Shirley (Lee Conley) and her brother, Jimmy Hurley.
Throughout her life, Betty was a lifelong caregiver, dedicating herself to the well-being of those she loved. Her legacy of love and devotion will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
