During his school years, Chad was a proud member of the ROTC, and he played tennis and soccer, demonstrating both his leadership and athletic abilities. He went on to briefly serve in the United States Marine Corps, reflecting his dedication to his country. Chad graduated with honors from the International College of Broadcasting, where he cultivated his passion for creativity and enjoyed making short films. His life was recently marked by sorrow with the passing of his brother, Roger Smith Jr., just one week prior.

Growing up, he enjoyed music and dancing, with some of his favorite jams coming from MC Hammer. He found great joy in simple pleasures, such as quiet nights at home with his wife, playing games or watching TV together. Chad was also a proud Ford Mustang owner, enjoyed playing video games, and had a passion for history, space exploration, and listening to a wide range of music: including Tupac, Pale Waves, Sky Ferreira along with Classical.
