

Charles Arnold Chevalier, affectionately known as Charlie, passed away on July 9, 2024, at the age of 81. Born on July 4, 1943, in Gallipolis, Ohio, to Cleo and Margaret Chevalier, Charles spent his later years in The Villages, Florida.
Charlie had a lifelong passion for golf and enjoyed spending his free time on the course. His remarkable career began with military service from 1960 to 1964, specializing in survival equipment. After his active duty, he worked as an ironworker on bridges and power plants along the Ohio River from 1964 to 1983 while living in Gallipolis. He continued his service as a Military Reservist from 1983 to 2003, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant.
Charlie was known for his memorable catchphrase, "See Ya!" and his meticulous care for his cars. He treasured playing golf with family and friends, creating lasting memories. His proudest achievements were being a devoted father to his children, Charles Jr. (Chuckie), Jeff, Scott, and Lesley, and a loving grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his son, Chuckie.
His surviving family includes Jeff (Tina) and their sons Justin (Casee) and Jared, along with three great-grandchildren Ryder, Evie, and Nora. Scott (Valerie) and their children Zachary (Karla) and Peyton (Steve). Daughter Lesley and her daughter Reagan will forever cherish his love, guidance, and special bond.
Charles was married three times: first to Barbara (McKinney) Chevalier, then to Pamela (Faulkner) Chevalier, and finally to Lynn (Orr) Chevalier.
Guided by his faith in eternal life with Jesus, Charles lived a full and meaningful life. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. In loving memory, may Charles Arnold Chevalier rest in eternal peace. His final resting place will be in Medway Cemetery, Medway, Ohio.
