Darrell truly was a special person.  While I haven't been in touch with him for over 30 years, my memories of time spent with him are so vivid.  He was so much fun to be around.  Always a smile, always a hearty laugh.  I was a freshman at Park Hills High School when Darrell was a senior.  I had the privilege to take him to the Sadie Hawkins dance that year.  A few years later we taught gymnastics together for Greene County.  I remember how much the kids liked him and looked up to him.  He was a blessing to everyone who was lucky enough to know him.  My condolences go out to his family and friends.

My prayers go out to his family.  I knew Darrell growing up as he lived across the street from my family and me.  He always had a smile to share.  We had alot of fun meomries growing up in the neighborhood.  Anytime you needed Darrell's help he was there.  If you were feeling down he would tell a joke to cheer you up.  I'll truly miss him being around, but I know we will meet again someday.

Darrell, words cannot convey the sense of loss that many of us feel, that the world has become a little colder. He was always ready to bring a smile to your face, to share, to talk, to listen.   A Great friend, who will be missed greatly.

My prayers go out to his family. I knew Darrell as a child because I lived next door to his Aunt Alma.

Darrell and I worked in the same building together for many years. Every time our paths crossed, he had a great smile on his face and always had something good to say to help brighten the day. I certainly have missed him over the past year during his fight with cancer. God bless him and his family.

Darrell was one of this world's true gems. Friendly, understanding, and caring - everybody loved him. He was the best friend always available with two open ears, the compassionate stranger you couldn't help confiding in, the quick-witted joker who livened up any gathering, and the loving husband and father who always looked out for his family. We need more Darrells, and this one will be sorely missed.

Darrell and I were like brothers growing up. We had some great times fishing in Jackson Ohio. I was honored to be the best man at his wedding. He always had a great personality and I will miss his smile and wit. Our condolences go out to his family, we will miss him dearly.

All of my sympathy for the loss of a great man. Darrell was a true friend, and a rare person. His joy, sense of humor, and kindness were a blessing for all who knew him. Darrell always made people laugh, no matter how sad they were, or whether or not he felt like laughing himself. His caring for others was always more important to him than being cared for himself. He was devoted to his family and friends. He helped me again and again, never judging, always in a wise and understanding way.

We shared many laughs and adventures, and I will remember and miss him the rest if my life.

I will miss your smile, jokes, thoughtfulness, and most of all, your friendship. Our time together was far too short. Thank you for serving your country - you were always a proud American. You were a role model as a husband and father, something I always admired. We are forever indebted to your dedication and hard work at Electronix. There are no real goodbyes here - wherever you are, you will always be in my memories.
