Helen Bishop Rasnic 93 of Winchester, OH, formerly of Fairborn, passed away at her home, Thursday, January 10, 2019. Helen was born and raised in Lee County, VA. She moved with her husband to the Dayton, Ohio area in 1952.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Hagen Rasnic, her parents Ray and Eliza (Clark) Bishop, grandson Larry Jr. (Bo) Boitnott, brothers O.T., R.C., J.D., A.V., Tom, and Harold (Chig) Bishop along with sisters Lucille Bishop Crabtree and Justine Bishop Rasnic.
She leaves to cherish her memory four daughters Kay (Bill) Gooch of Hebron, OH, Sue (Bob) Eldridge of Fairborn, Ann (Kenny) Miller of Winchester, OH, and Greta Rasnic Bruner of Hamilton, OH; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-granddaughters; a brother Bill Bishop of Woodway, VA, a sister Jolene Dingus of Jonesville, VA, two special sister-in-laws Wanda Bishop of Talbott, TN and Gail Bishop of Pennington Gap, VA, along with many nieces and nephews. Helen was a lifetime homemaker who lived for and cherished her family.
Her family will receive friends on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at Burcham Tobias Funeral Home, 119 E. Main St. Fairborn, Ohio. Funeral services will be at 1:30 PM on Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Walden officiating. Burial will follow at Byron Cemetery in Fairborn.
