Henry J. Chmielewski

Henry J. Chmielewski age 98 of Fairborn died on Friday February 20, 2015. He was born the son of John & Sophie (Bartnikowski) Chmielewski on December 15, 1916 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Henry is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Rita Chmielewski; daughters Chris (John) Hanlon of Colorado, Irene (Randy) Lykins of Beavercreek, Wanda (Dave) Deardurff of Dayton and Mary Hurst of Virginia; sons Don (Bev) Chmielewski of Tennessee, and Henry Chmielewski Jr. of Fairborn; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Henry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed by all of those who love him. Henry proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force serving in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He was a longtime member of Mary, Help of Christians Catholic Church in Fairborn, Ohio. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Fairborn Council 3724, where had made many close friendships over the years. More than anything he loved spending time with his family.
