Jean McCarthy

Jean McCarthy age 80 of Fairborn passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015. She was born the daughter of Thomas & Flossie (Shields) George on March 20, 1935 in Carlisle, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Merle McCarthy, sisters Leona Trussel, and Eunice Bromagen, infant brother, son in law Donald Lakin, and a best friend Sylvia Worley. Jean is survived by her daughter Pam Lakin of Springfield, son Wendell (Paula) McCarthy of Fairborn, sister Bonnie Minton, brother Rondall George, grandchildren Angela, Eric, Ivy, Dawn, Donnie Jr., Timmy, Trent, Aimy, Amber, and Trevor, 12 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and friends. Jean was a loving mother, grandma, sister, and friend. She will be missed by all of those who love her. Jean was a proud member of the Red Hat Society, Fairborn Senior Center, and the Fairborn Grand Heights Baptist Church. Friends may call on Thursday, July 23, 6PM – 7PM at Burcham Jennings Funeral Home 119 E. Main St. Fairborn, Ohio 45324 where a funeral service will be held at 7PM.
