Jerry loved helping people and was generous to a fault. He vividly told stories and enjoyed talking to
people, whether he knew them or not. Amazingly, he never forgot a friend or family member’s birthday
or anniversary and always sent a card. He was passionate about the ocean and all marine life and was
proud to have earned the rank of Eagle Scout at a young age. Jerry graduated from Archbishop Alter High
School in 1974. For many years, he participated in the Catholic Alumni Club and was a parishioner, usher
and greeter at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Fairborn, where he and Teresa Wehner were
married on August 18, 2001. Jerry will be forever missed by Teresa and his family and friends, all of
whom serve as witnesses to the life of integrity and compassion he lived.
Jerry is survived by the love of his life, Teresa, who resides in New Carlisle. Also surviving are his sisters
and brothers; Susan Kelble, Greg (Sue) Kelble, Barbara (Ken) Rinehart and James (Helen) Kelble, along
with his nieces and nephews; Paige (Chip) Pauley, Kathryne Kelble, Alex (Annamarie) Rinehart, Caroline
Kelble and great nephew, Chip Pauley IV.
The family will receive friends on Thursday July 6, 2023 from 10am to 11am at Mary Help of Christians
Catholic Church, 954 Maple St., Fairborn, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am. Burial will
be at New Carlisle Cemetery.
