JOYCE ANN (CHAPMAN) AMBS age 75 of Springfield passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 in her loving home. She was born the daughter of Rufus Lowell & Thelma (Brown) Chapman on February 27, 1936 in Sulphur Springs, Indiana who precede her death. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years Phillip Ambs, her children Liz & Pete Priddy of Middletown, Indiana, Susan & Doug See of Springfield, John & Amy Ambs of Urbana, Jenny & Rob Vogt of Fairborn, and Kate & Jamie Wagner of Springfield, her grandchildren Jordan & Kelly See, Nichole Armstrong, Emily & Ethan Ambs, Kiley & Thad Bowman, Olyvia Ray, Jessica & Rachael Sanders, Ben Abbitt, and Grace Wagner, her sisters Nancy Cook and Sue & Bob Melton, her brothers Bill & Janet Chapman and Jerry & Debbie Chapman, her sisters in law Su Anne Simpson, Mary Lu Miller, and Janet Ambs, many nieces & nephews, and dear friends Alice & Cal Smith. Joyce was a member of Daughters of Isabella, a longtime member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Joyce was forever dedicated to her family. She took great pride in providing a loving home for her husband and children by taking care of every need they had. She will be missed by all who loved her. Friends may call on Monday, October 17, 2011 ¬5PM to ¬7PM at Burcham Jennings Funeral Home, 119 E. Main St. Fairborn, Ohio. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 10AM at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, 954 N. Maple Ave Fairborn, Ohio with Rev. Charles F. Lang, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Miller Cemetery, Middletown, Indiana on Wednesday, October, 19 2011 at 11AM.
