LIVESAY Juda Ruth, age 98 of Fairborn, passed away at Patriot Ridge Community on Friday, December 07, 2018. She was born November 23, 1920 in Rutledge, TN the daughter of McDonald and Lena Lowe. As a high school freshman, and all 4 years, she was part of the starting lineup for her basketball team. Juda was the curator of cacti and succulents at Cox Arboretum and was a Red Cross volunteer at WPAFB Hospital. She taught Sunday school and was a youth sponsor at various Baptist churches. She had a beautiful soprano voice and sang solos and duets at church. Juda was an avid genealogist and traveled to research her family history. She spoke German, which she learned when she accompanied her husband to Germany during his time in the occupation troops after WWII. Juda’s avid interests and knowledge reached beyond her formal education. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years William “Willie” Livesay; and brothers Autrey, Gaither, Ausmus, and Goth Abraham Lowe. Juda is survived by her brother M.D. Lowe and wife Jane of TN; daughters Sharon Livesay of Oakridge TN and Linda Hollinger and her husband Steve of Haymarket VA; son William “Billy” Livesay and wife Karen of Fairborn OH; grandchildren Karen Croushorn and husband Luke of Manassas VA, and Brian Hollinger and wife Stephanie of Warrenton VA; great-grandchildren Joshua, Anika, Ian and Austin; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Friends may call on the Smith-Reagan Funeral Home, 326 Water St. Rutledge TN 37861 Friday, December 14, 2018 at 9:30 AM for visitation. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM at the funeral home with interment to follow at Grainger Memorial Gardens in Rutledge TN.
