
Linda Trombley also known as Tsali Ticonderoga passed away on June 18, 2026, at the age of 79, having been born on October 25, 1946, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Clifford Leroy Bennett and Ethel Lois Morris. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a BA in Russian and French education.
Retired Nursing Assistant after approximately 40 years and Presenter of Nature Culture and Storyteller and independent artist. She enjoys crocheting special gifts for her friends and family. She was a member of Saint Joseph Parish and a member Emmanuel Saint Vincent De Paul Conference. Doing volunteer work. She enjoyed country music, Jelly Roll was her favorite. She was a prominent Native American activist and community educator based in Dayton Ohio. She was well known in the Miami Valley region for her advocacy and indigenous rights. She served as a community guide and educator at SunWatch Indian Village and served on the Advisory committee. She was highly active in grassroots movements, from protesting the construction of oil pipelines on tribal lands to supporting local political movements in the Dayton area. She is a supporter of the endangered species act and protection of gray wolves in North America.
She is preceded in death by her husband Chief Fort Ticonderoga (Ti) aka Robert Trombley.
She is survived by her Foster Brother Mark Snowden of Dayton. Her Step daughter Therese (Ronnie) Neal of Fairborn Ohio.
Step GrandChildren Julie Robinson, Brian Robinson, Amberlyn Mefford, Donald (DJ) Allen. And Eight great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She leaves behind many friends.
Linda lived in Dayton, Ohio, and Calvary Cemetery at Saint Kateri Preserve in Dayton will be the final resting place.
