Mary Anna Elam

ELAM, Mary Anna 85 of Enon passed away peacefully Saturday, July 8, 2017. Mary leaves to cherish her memory one son and daughter-in-law Thomas and Paulette Elam of Springfield, four grandchildren, T J Elam Jr. and his wife Athena, Adam Elam and his wife Samantha, Mary Dalykas, Matthew Elam, 9 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister Betty Stark, sister-in-law Janet Hogue, two brothers and sisters-in-law Richard D. and Beverly Hogue of Springfield, Tim and Fran Hogue of Franklin, nephews Greg and Suzanne Hogue, Jeff and Debbie Hogue, extended nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents John V. Sr. and Hilda E. (Brown) Hogue, brothers, John V. Hogue Jr., James R. Hogue. Mary was a graduate of Wittenberg University, was retired from the Greenon School District where she was a teacher and principal, she enjoyed gardening and teaching the Bible. There will be a private gathering and celebration of Mary's life.
