So very sad to hear of Ray's passing. He was a sweet man and I am sorry we did not get to see each other more. As he was my second cousin he was a bit older than me and I always thought he was so interesting. Very proud of his service to our country. It was a privilege to know him and be related to him. We will see each other again some day. May he rest in Peace.

Ive known Ray most of my life. But I met and grew to know him in 1997. He had the reputation to stay clear. Which he admitted to me was a defense mechanism. However I spent the last year with Ray and seen just the opposite side. He was there for me when my own family was not. He'd say baby girl lets hug it out. Another favorite memory was recalling old saying. Like forevermore or more better. And he made peanut butter fudge More Better. My 3yr old at the time called him "Bad Mr. Ray" only cuz he wouldn't give in to my lil guy. However we never left without Landyn kissing him square on the mouth and saying luv (lub) u Mr. Ray. One of the few times I seen Ray cry was their first encounter and Landyn grabbed him by his face and planted one right on his lips. So sweet and enduring to see both of their reactions. Oh and Bad Mr. Ray is to old for a motorcycle lol. I miss you so much Ray (Big Daddy). What i wouldn't give to clean up your salt n pepper messes instead of complaining about it. I love you and miss you 59 times. Carrie

I have known you so long. So hard to imagine life without you. Love you. Lewis sherri

Needless to say this a crushing blow to the Wells Family and many Friends. To lose Jimmy and Ray literally days apart is overwhelmingly tragic, to say the least. I'll remember the good times of knowing Ray over 55 years and Jimmy for around 50. Two of the things that automatically come to mind when I think of Ray is our '68 graduation party at Tommy Mayenschein's home and our wild ride through Rona Hills, lol! The other memory is when Ray unexpectedly picked me up at my home in his brand new Black Monte Carlo, I think it was a 1970 model, and we toured the town including Frisch's of course. He was really happy that day and I was too just to be touring with him. I just wish this wasn't so, he will definitely be missed by many, RIP Olen Ray Wells, Vietnam veteran and Silver Star Recipient.
