HOWARD, Rae Lynn, age 56 was born on February 22, 1964 to her loving parents Larry Sr. and Bonnie Howard. She peacefully passed away Monday, April 27, 2020. She was a 1982 graduate of Town and Country School. Rae Lynn devoted 31 years to TAC Industries in Springfield, OH where she proudly did many jobs, but her favorite was sewing cargo nets for the United States Air Force.

She spent 40 years as an avid competitor in the Special Olympics where she enthusiastically brought home medals from the standing long jump and softball throw.

Aside from being a talented bowler, watching Miami Dolphins Football and the Ohio State Buckeyes were some of her favorite things. GO BUCKS!

She is a wonderful example of God’s perfect creation. She had the ability to make connections with strangers, a contagious smile and laugh, and joyful humor in life’s everyday adventures.

Rae Lynn was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, William and Martha Young, parental grandparents Elmer and Louise Howard, niece Brittany Koronich, and many aunts and uncles. She is survived by her parents Larry and Bonnie Howard, brother Dean (Tammy) Howard, sister Laura (Dan) Ankeny, nieces Tiarah (Nate) Todd, Taulinah (Danny) Knox, nephews Ryan (Kristen) Koronich and Joshua Koronich, great-nephews Luke, AJ and Brayden, and great-niece Reese.

😇 I am truly blessed to have known Rae Lynn and her family. Each and everyone of you are the true meaning of love and family. I would consider Rae Lynn my friend, I loved swimming with her during swim aerobics. My daughter was a life guard there and Rae Lynn gave her quite a hard time till she got to know her, plenty of sticking her tongue 👅 out to her which cracked me up!! Then they became friends, and she was really fond of Zachy which made all of us bond even more. She would call him a rock star, seeing how he was on stage at church playing the guitar 🎸. Bonnie you are one of the most amazing mothers I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. God bless you and your whole family. I love you all ❤️

Rea Lynn Howard you will always be remembered by your exuberant smile, your tender heart, your love of OSU, your jokes, your love of Jesus and how to make all those who are with you happy to be there. For me personally you reminded me that being perfect is doing your best with joy in your heart. You blazed trails for those who would walk in your path. To Bonnie you and Rae Lynn showed the world how to love where you are and with what you are given. I prayed many times to be half the mom you were with Rae Lynn. I knew the journey Andy and I would go through would be just like everyone else with good days and hard days but every day totally worth it. Thank you both for showing me and many others that God Is Good All The Time. Love 💕 you! Susanne Harrod.

I just heard of RaeLynn’s passing. I loved that girl.!! I was RaeLynn’s hab spec at TAC. We laughed and laughed together. She stole my heart the first time I was introduced to her. I told Rae that I was her new hab spec and she said firmly “ No you’re not!”. I think in very little time I stole her heart as well. At least, that is what I like to think. Bonnie, I am so sorry for your loss. Rae loved the heck out of you and who wouldn’t? You were so good to her. It is with a heavy heart that Rae passed. She will be someone that I will look for in Heaven. Love, Lisa Bailey

As I hadn’t seen Raelynn since my retirement, I remember how you loved choir, especially the song “Hang on Sloopy “. I think we sang that song more than another other song 😄. I know your singing that song in heaven! You always had a smile and a hug! So sorry Bonnie and family for your loss. You will be in my prayers.

I'm so sorry to hear the news that you have passed Rae Lynn. I feel so lucky that I got the chance to share a small piece of your life during Track and Field seasons. You were so blessed to have been born to such loving and caring parents. Your smile was infectious, and I always thought it was cool that you talked to yourself as much as I talk to myself. It was like we were kindred spirits. Thanks for the smiles and love Rae Lynn, you will be thought of often and with love.

I remember her very well. I used to be her DSP. We would listen to Shania Twain and sing and dance to it all the time. Always had a smile on her face.

To the Howard family, I send my deepest condolences. I absolutely adored Rae Lynn from the moment I met her at the Tecumseh YMCA. She was a true blessing in so many ways. I loved the way she loved people! I loved the way she would call out my name at LACC, always my first and last name lol, followed by a big hug! I loved her sense of humor and how witty she was. I loved when she would tell me stories about her boyfriend. ❤️ I even got a chance to see her run in the Special Olympics! What a true joy she was to be around! I am so sad that she passed during this difficult time in the world but I know in my heart she is resting well with the Lord! Sending my love and prayers.
