

Stephen Lewis Frederick, age 64, of Fairborn passed away at Springfield Regional Hospital on June 14, 2025. He was born on February 27, 1961, in Dayton to the late Lewis and Eleanor (nee: McMillan) Frederick.
Stephen received a BS in Engineering from the University of Dayton. After he received his degree, he went to work for Select Tool and Die where he met his wife, Lora. He then accepted a position at Wilmington Precision Machining where he retired after more than 20 years of dedicated service.
If not at work, you would most likely find Stephen with Lora and Dakota or best friend Billy Scott fishing on his boat in Lake Erie. He enjoyed fostering friendships with his coworkers as well as those he would meet on the lake while fishing. You also might find him hunting for mushrooms. He seemed to attract others with his contagious smile and easy-going demeanor. He will be missed by many who had the privilege of calling him a friend.
He is survived by his beloved wife of over 23 years, Lora (Nee: Scott); his son, Dakota (Maria) Scott; his brother, David (Pam) Frederick; his niece, Elizabeth (Brian) Norman; a great niece, Madison; and great nephew: Alex; He also leaves behind his best friend, Billy (Sandy) Scott and their children; son BJ and daughter Katie. He is also survived by his extended family and close friends.
