Susi worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base 2750th Supply Command and later was
International Logistic Management Specialist for International Logistics Command. Her job
often required her to travel to Turkey, Belgium, Germany and a few Middle Eastern countries.
While working at the Base, Susi met and married the love of her life, John Michael Corrie.
While attending Kentucky Christian University, she sang soprano in one of the select recruiting
teams and also sang in the University Chapel Choir. She later sang in Christmas and Easter
concerts and musicals with her home church, First Church of Christ in Fairborn. She often sang
duets with her dear Friend Patti Tinsley.
Two years ago, Susi, her sisters Pat and Kathi and friend Doris, began a quiet ministry they call “Purple Cross in Your Pocket”. They give them to people at drive-throughs, credit unions, Doctor’s offices, concerts, hairdressers and to folks that they meet, reminding them that JESUS loves them. Oh, how He loves them! Susi was a faithful servant of Christ and committed member of New Beginnings Christian Church. If Susi called you her friend, you are blessed! Susi loved JESUS, her family and her friends. She was a fierce prayer warrior.
Susi is preceded in death by her Husband John "Michael" who died June 2011, her parents Ludris and Katherine, sister Donna Hardin, and by members of her Family of Love, James and Nell Watters, sister Cora Watters and brother Michael Watters. She is survived by her Step Sons Phillip Corrie and Michael Andrew Corrie, by brothers Tex Watters and James A Waters, by sisters Pat Koeppe and Kathi Watters, niece Ranisha Williams, nephew Jacob Lane Hardin, and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Susi loved Thanksgiving, Christmas, Resurrection Sunday and summers on Candy Cane Lane at
Rocky Fork Lake near Hillsboro, Ohio. Any reason to get with the Watters Clan to eat and laugh
and sing together was a good reason!
We are having a Celebration of Susi’s life on Saturday October 11, 2025 with visitation from
10am to 11am and Celebration Service at 11am with luncheon to follow at New Beginnings Christian Church, 7345 Dayton Springfield Rd., Enon, Ohio. Brother Steve Sisco will officiate.
For several years Susi has had health problems that kept her from going to church, so we are “Taking Susi to Church” to Celebrate her Life!!
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Hospice of Dayton for their loving, compassionate and spiritual care of Susi.
Susi wants to thank the LORD for sending Megan into her life these last years. She was tender in her care and faithful. Susi loved her like a daughter.
