Thelma Greer

GREER-LEWIS, THELMA HESTER, age 93, of Fairborn, passed away peacefully on Friday November 4, 2022, at her residence, with her family by her side. She was born on June 1, 1929 in Pettus, West Virginia to Charlie and Lottie (Dickens) McCormick. She married William Brown and he passed away in 1973, she then married Jack Greer who passed away and she married Ronald Lewis, who passed away in 2015. She is also preceded in death by her parents, her son William “Billy” Brown, her daughters Brenda Hicks and Bonna Abling, her brother Dempsey McCormick, and her sisters Loraine Messer and Arizona Roop.

She is survived by her daughter Linda Brown and her brother James McCormick, her grandchildren James (Michelle) Elliott, Melissa (Jim) Elliott-Blevins, Matthew (Lori) Elliott and Rachel (Anthony) Casey, along with 6 other grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Thelma was a Homemaker, caring for her family when they needed her. She loved quilting, gardening and her flowers. She was an excellent cook, preparing meals for family events and church events. She also liked traveling across the United States.

Family will receive friends on Thursday November 10th from 12noon to 2pm at the Burcham Tobias Funeral Home 119 E. Main St., Fairborn, Ohio. A Funeral Service will follow at 2pm with Pastor Buck Smith officiating. Burial will be at Enon Cemetery, in Enon, Ohio.
