Theresa Lucas

Theresa Lucas passed away in Redding, California, after 97 wonderful years.

Theresa was from Dayton, Ohio and moved to Redding, where she lived with her son and daughter-in-law (Ralph and Janice Ross) for the past 8 years. Theresa was born in West Virginia where she met and married Louis (Cerioni) Ross. They had three children together; Josephine (Trammell), Faye (Winkler) and Ralph (Sonny Ross). After the passing of her first husband, Louis, and raising her three children, she married Luke Lucas. They were married for 40 years before his passing in 2005.

Theresa was a trophy-winning ball room dancer, a successful beautician who ran her own business for over 45 years and a wonderful Mother and Grandmother. She spoiled her family with her Italian cooking and will be remembered for her wonderful smile and laugh. She was preceded in death by both of her husbands and her daughter, Faye Winkler, sisters and brothers; Rose, Kathryn, Mary, Pete and Frank. She is survived by her children; Josephine (Bill), Ralph (Janice), Grandchildren: William, Randall, Robin, Louis, Timothy, James Winker, James Ross and Sonia, her only granddaughter, many nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was living with her son and her daughter in law for the past 10 years

Graveside services will be held at Calvary Cemetery on Friday, April 8th at 10:30am.
