

Virginia Duvall “Delong” age 86 peacefully departed this life on June 17, 2011. She was born July 21, 1924 in West Liberty, Kentucky the daughter of Ezeckel and Carrie (Wells) West. She was preceded in death by her loving husbands Curt Duvall and Burt Delong. She has two surviving children, Garnett Weisenbarger of Fairborn, Ohio and a son James and Renita Duvall of Yellow Springs, Ohio. Four grandchildren Christopher Weisenbarger and Adam Duvall, Eva Goodman and Jennifer Bates. Great-grandchildren Kyle and Bryce Duvall, Kyley and Savanna Goodman and Zoey Bates. Two special nieces Carrie Owens and Louise Massie and neighbors Carl and Maxine Duvall and Ella Mullins. She will be missed. In the early 1940’s Virginia relocated from West Liberty, Kentucky to Fairborn, Ohio. Here she met and fell in love with Curt Duvall, whom she was married to for 36 years, until his passing in 1983. Virginia and Curt became landlords after acquiring multiple rental properties in Fairborn, Ohio. Virginia and Curt shared all the responsibilities and duties for their many rental properties. Virginia’s obligations in this endeavor continued long after Curt’s passing. Virginia was a Baptist and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She loved to garden, can vegetables, plant flowers, quilt, sing and play musical instruments. She leaves us many cherished memories. A viewing will be held for family and friends on Wednesday June 22, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the Burcham Jennings Funeral Home, 119 East Main Street, Fairborn. Funeral services will be held at Burcham Jennings Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 23 with Rev. Garnet Mullins officiating; burial will follow in Byron Cemetery.
