Barbara DeGeorge Harrod, 78, of Louisville, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014. Beginning at the age of 12, Barbara sang professionally at places like Gypsy Village, El Rancho and various venues around Louisville.
She worked as a National Proof Consultant for over 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph & Laura DeGeorge.
She is survived by her beloved son, Larry Harrod, daughter, Linda Johnstone (Rick), grandchildren, Chris Johnstone (Tiffany), Jennifer Maupin (Kinter), Neil Johnstone (Kim) and 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2-7PM with a celebration of Barbara's life at 7PM at Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home 411 Fairdale Rd.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be donated to the Humane Society.
