Bertha Rose Humphrey

Bertha Rose Humphrey, 75, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021. Bertha was a long time member of Valley View Church where she was active in the Children’s ministry. For nearly 30 years, she was a beloved kiddo kamp counselor and chaperone for many children’s activities.

Bertha was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Walter C. Humphrey, Jr; sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Lee “Bud” Fowler; sister-in-law, Debbie Ewing and her husband, Steve.

Left to cherish Bertha’s memory are her daughters, Rebecca Hooper (Billy), Cindy Weston (Brad); grandchildren, Morgan and Cole Silverhorn, Brent Weston (Lexi), Tia Weston; brother, John L. Hourigan (Beth), brother-in-law, Stevie Humphrey; nieces and nephews, Debra Strotman (Don), Theresa Carlton (Gary), Scott Ewing, Melissa Dolen, Yvette Hourigan; and many loving extended family and friends.

The Funeral Service will be Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 2:00pm at Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home with visitation from 11:00am until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be private.

Memorial donations in Bertha’s memory should be directed to The Children’s Ministry at Valley View Church.
