She was a homemaker and member in good standing for 30 years of Al-Anon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Alene Barnes; brother, William Jr.; and sisters, Bonnie Minyard and Shirley Corbett.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, John McCord; sons, Danny (Diane) and Mark (Tena) Quinton, stepdaughters, Tracy Hall and Karen Hedgecock (Chuck); and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be noon Friday at Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home, 411 Fairdale Road, with burial in Mt. Holly Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Hosparus, American Cancer Society or Al-Anon.
