Daniel Keith Calvert

Daniel Keith Calvert, 57, returned to his Heavenly Father on March 4, 2026. He was preceded in death by his mother, Connie (Payton) Calvert, who cherished him deeply. Daniel was the light of her life, and we find peace in imagining the joyful reunion they now share in Heaven.

He volunteered with several nonprofits, including Hip Hop Cares and St. John's Center, always seeking ways to give back to his community. Daniel had a gift for listening to others' stories and was known for his relatability, humor, and life experience. He was a beacon of hope for those searching for a way out and a fresh start. In the ways he could, Daniel helped love Louisville back to life. He proved himself to be an overcomer, and through many struggles he developed deep empathy and kindness. His heart to serve others will not be forgotten, and the lives he touched will continue to carry forward his compassion and hope.

He is survived by his daughter, Danielle Calvert; Brothers, Jeffrey Calvert (Samantha) and Damon Woods (Elizabeth); Sister, Monica Maynard; Niece, Jessica Calvert (Sean); Nephews, Aaron Calvert (Kayla) and Michael Calvert (Logan); Great Niece, Ella Royals; Cremation was chosen.

His Memorial Service will be held on Saturday March 28, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the Fairdale - McDaniel Funeral Home, 411 Fairdale Road. Memorial Visitation will be on Saturday March 28, 2026 after 11am until time of service at the funeral home.
