94, of Louisville, passed away peacefully in her sleep Thursday, October 26, 2017. She was born in Fairdale, KY on January 30, 1923 to Dallas and Betty (Brosch) Arnold. She was employed by Jefferson County Public Schools until her retirement. Her parents are deceased along with her husband Lawrence Light, daughter Sonja Hunter, six sisters and one brother. She is survived by her brother, Kenneth (Iris), step daughters, Norma Routt & Judy Crune. She is also survived by several nieces & nephews including Gail Owen who helped care for her. Florence was friendly and loved the activities at Essex Nursing Home where she loved the singing groups that visited. She loved her church and attended as long as possible.
Her funeral service will be 12PM Monday at Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home & Cremation Services 411 Fairdale Road with visiting from 10-until time of service. Burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association or the Lord’s Kitchen.
