Fred Lee Tate, 59, of Fairdale, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017. He was born June 25, 1957 in Louisville, KY to the late Fred Edward and Pauline Smiddy Tate. He is also preceded in death by his twin sister, Molly Carty. Fred was a long-time employee of the Pic-Pac in Fairdale, liked to go fishing for catfish, and enjoyed all things UK, especially going to football and basketball games with his sons.
He is survived by his children, Stephen Tate (Leigh), Chad Tate (Shawn), and Neal Tate; grandchildren Bella May, David, and William Tate; and siblings, Forrest Tate, Earlene Hogue, and April Ramburg.
Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday at Fairdale Baptist Church, 413 Fairdale Rd., Fairdale, KY 40118. His Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday at the church with burial to follow in Mt. Holly Cemetery.
