Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, Kelly and Tora Dickerson; her husband, John W. Parrish, Jr.; her brothers, J.W. Dickerson and Butler Dickerson; her sister, Delores Kennedy; and her daughter-in-law, Shelia Parrish.
With a steady resilience that carried her through life’s seasons, Geneva devoted more than ten years of service to JCPS, working in the school cafeteria at Fairdale High School. Her presence there—and in the lives of those who knew her—was marked by a kind-hearted spirit and a quiet strength that did not seek attention, yet was deeply felt.
A cherished member of Rolling Fork Baptist Church, Geneva found meaning in faith and community. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, treasuring special moments with each of her grandchildren and holding close the bonds that mattered most.
Geneva is survived by her children, Victoria Parrish, Steven Parrish, and Raymond Parrish (Belinda); her grandchildren, Jason, Raymond, Wayne, Crystal, Daniel, and Michael; and eleven great-grandchildren.
