Glenda Lou Powell

Glenda Powell age 79, a widow, member of Louisville Ky. Church of God, a Worldwide Association passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at her residence. Glenda was a country girl born on Crew Road in Wickliffe, Ky. On October 10,1946. She was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Thelma Crews; six brothers, five sisters, a daughter in law, and her former husband and father of four children, John Tribble Sr. She is survived by her children, John Alan Tribble Jr., Lana Dixon, Michelle Noggles and Marie Tribble; 3 grandson and 2 granddaughters and many, many, nieces and nephews. Early in life Glenda was a CNA, medical technician, and private duty nurse. Before she retired she became a braille transcription editor at The American Printing House for the Blind in Louisville, Ky. Glenda said she had found her "nitch" in life with this occupation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date with her Final resting place will be at Gum Corner Baptist Church Cemetery in Wickliffe Ky. In lieu of flowers, Glenda requested that memorial donations be made to the Louisville Congregation of the Church of God a Worldwide Association. Schoppenhorst Funeral Home at Fairdale, 411 Fairdale Road has been entrusted to handle the arrangements for the Powell Family.
