Joan E Connors

Joan Elizabeth (McCoy) Connors, 95, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, having the joy of seeing five generations of her cherished family.

Joan was an accomplished woman who loved the warmth of the sunshine and tending to her garden. She was the proud recipient of the Kmart Game Changer Award and was celebrated as their oldest employee at the age of 85. She was a devoted member of the Catholic Church (formerly St. Jerome).

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 ½ years, Keith Connors; her parents, Dennie and Lucille (“Billie”) McCoy; and her brother, Sonny McCoy.

Joan is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Bragagnolo (Michael); sons, Keith Connors, Jr. (Beverly) and Dennis Connors (Sandra); grandchildren, Chris, Kevin, Stefanie, Danielle, Jeremy, Shannon, and Stephan; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sister, Shirley Chora, and brother, Gary McCoy.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, May 14, at Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home, 411 Fairdale Rd., with burial to follow at Mt. Holly Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 13, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Alley Cat Advocates. As she was a heartfelt supporter of both.
