He was preceded in death by his wife, Dianne Kirk; his son, Paul Jerrod; parents, Marion Franklin Kirk & Martha Katherine Anderson; brother, David Earl Kirk; & sister, Martha Jane Phillips.
He was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran, having served his country during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Manslick Road Church of Christ. He was known as a loving and caring man. His faith & family meant everything to him.
He is survived by his children, Mark Douglas Kirk (April) & Dana Jeanette Dixon (Donald); grandchildren, Joshua Adam Kirk, Raven Meredith, Rachel Eve Helm (Shayne), Matthew Mitchell Kirk, & Luke David Kirk; great-grandchild, Nora Rose Helm; brother, Kenneth Paul Kirk; sister, Linda K. Doerge; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, & friends who loved him and will miss him.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 12noon in the chapel of Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home, 411 Fairdale Rd. Entombment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation Friday, February 16, 2-8pm at the funeral home.
