He was a retired painter and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Virginia; daughters, Barbara Rollings (Richard), Karen Morales (Sam), Debbie Albritton (Jerry), Donna Wood (Donnie) and Anita Wick (Jeff); sons, Danny (Donna) and Matthew Oakes (Lisa); and stepchildren, Barbara Jefferies (John) and Wesley Garr Jr. (Debbie); three sisters, Doris Ritchey, Shelby Jones and Nadine Reams; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be noon Wednesday at Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home, 411 Fairdale Road, with burial in Coral Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
