To my Uncle Odell - your humor and kindness touched my life and influences me still today.
And to Uncle Odell's family - our love and blessings go out to all of you. Some of my earliest memories as a youth are filled with family nights playing games at your home and countless sleepovers. Unfortunately, due to my work travel, we cannot be there in person, but our prayers and condolences are with all of you.

Never before in my entire life have a ever met anyone like Odell Keown. I was blessed to have know him for four years two months two weeks, two days. Sure I could have said four years but I would have cheated myself out of over two months.
I can absolutely tell you this man changed my life as I have never experienced another person that had so much love and lust for life as Odell Keown. No challenge that life threw at him did he not dare to concur, he taught us how to cruise and save a ton of money, he taught us how to have fun, he taught us how to blow the top off of a champagne bottle, he showed us the proper way to eat frog legs (although he ate all of ours). I had never seen so much love for family as he demonstrated. Every grandchild he talked about was his pride and joy. No let me clarify he talked of all his children and grandchildren with incredible pride. He claimed to have taught Keegan all he knew about basketball and perhaps that is true, What say you Keegan? He always bragged about Greg but I won't go into details and both of his daughters were talked about in great details.
He taught me the meaning of friendship and I will be forever a changed person. I will miss him dearly.

Thank you for the wonderful memories! You are a great husband, father, grandfather, and a fantastic friend! You welcomed us into your family and we had the best of times cruising. I will fondly remember our early morning breakfast chats and trips around the islands. You lived life to the fullest and there was no challenge you could not handle. Your knowledge on any topic was amazing. You taught me to have fun and that family is important. It is with a heavy heart I say good bye.
