Bob was reunited with his wife of 45 years, Linda, who was truly the love of his life. Together, they raised their family in Fairdale, teaching by example the importance of hard work, strong values, and never missing an opportunity to spend time with family and friends.
A retired Superintendent from Bornstein, Bob never really “retired.” His workshop was his happy place, where he built cabinets, games, and one-of-a-kind creations—always ready to make exactly what you need. After becoming a full timer at Nolin Lake, he became the unofficial supervisor of the neighborhood, rolling through on his golf cart with a cooler in tow, checking in on projects (and making sure everyone was doing them right).
Bob loved a cold drink, a good laugh, and giving people a hard time—especially if he liked you. Monday nights were for golf, Tuesdays for the post, and any day was a good day for a bike ride. He served proudly in the Army’s 4th Infantry Division Artillery in Vietnam and lived by his belief to stand for the flag, kneel for the cross.
To know Bob was to love him. He opened his home and heart to anyone, always had a story, a joke, or a little mischief ready. He truly was one of a kind, who earned every bit of the title legend.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Linda; his parents Gilbert (Hazel) Denham and Irene Adams; and his sister Avis (Darvin) Tucker. He is survived by his children Keith Denham and Robin Santoro (Bill); nephew Scott (Kristie) Logsdon; grandchildren Mike (Kaylee) Denham, Joey Santoro (Alayna), and Valerie Santoro (Clinton); great-grandchildren Ellison & Sloane Denham and Finn Santoro; siblings Joyce (Artie) Fritz, Paula Ludengow, and David Denham; his in-laws Glenn, Paula, Buddy, and Joe Rhea; along with many other family, neighbors, and dear friends.
Bob was also a proud member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA), Fraternal Order of Eagles 223 (FOE), American Legion Post 229, and the VFW.
He will be deeply missed—but his stories, laughter, and love will carry on in all of us who were lucky enough to know him.
