Jones, Sarah Juanita,81, of Fairdale, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Norton Audubon Hospital. She was a KY Colonel, retired from Valu Supermarket and member of Blessed Teresa Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Gram Ray Pomerleau, parents, Russell and Aline Thornsberry and siblings, Sue Deweese, Russell Thornsberry Jr. and Eugene Thornsberry.
Survived by her husband of 65 years, William "Bill" Jones, children, David (Charlene) of Elizabethtown, KY, Mark (Sherry), Dale, Craig (Angie), Darlene Jones, Gale Pomerleau (Ray) and Karen Lambert (Bob) of Louisville, 17 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, siblings, Margaret Hagan of New Haven, Bernard Thornsberry (Faye), J.M. Thornsberry (Joan) of Louisville.
Funeral Mass will be held 10AM Thursday, May 5, 2016 at her church 903 Fairdale Rd. with burial in Mt. Holly Cemetery 807 Mt. Holly Rd. Visitation will be 1-8 Wednesday at Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home 411 Fairdale Rd. Special thanks to all Staff Audubon Hospital.
