On Friday, December 18, 2015, God called one of His angels, Rozetta, home at 83 years of age.
Rozetta was born on March 16, 1932 in Fairdale, KY to John and Marjory Griffin. She married her one and only love, Lester Young on August 26, 1963. Her greatest joys in life were being a mother to a daughter and twin sons and being a grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester; her son, John; brothers, Jack, Hack, Sidney and Jim; sisters, Louise, Zorado and Hattie. Left to mourn her loss are her children, Doris Sims (Bobby) and Paul Young (Leah); sisters, Marjory Coleman and Doris Campbell; grandchildren, Corey (Jenna) and Dale Sims, Sarah and Hayley Young; great-grandchildren, Emma, Chloe, Adalynn and Branston.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the 4 Park Palliative Care Unit at Baptist Health as well as Hosparus for making Rozetta's final days more comfortable and peaceful for her and the family.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home, 411 Fairdale Road with burial at Mitchell Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 3-8 p.m. and Tuesday 9-10 a.m.
