Shari Kay Heun
June 18, 1950 – January 16, 2022

Shari Kay Klinzman Heun was born on Father’s Day June 18, 1950 to Derrill Eugene Klinzman and Helen Irene Rawson Klinzman in Ft Dodge Iowa. Shari graduated from Iowa City High School in 1968 then attended Kirkwood Community College where she received a degree in Dental Laboratory Technology.
Shari married Dr. Stephen Heun March 29,1980 in Iowa, the couple then relocated to Louisville, Kentucky where Stephen began his chiropractic practice, which remains open to this day. Shari assisted her husband with her exceptional organizational and accounting skills. Shari also began her private dental laboratory business shortly after relocating and continued until retirement. Shari also worked for The Spencer Magnet, the local newspaper in Taylorsville, Kentucky. Shari and Steve spent some time volunteering as foster parents and were very active as Chihuahua rescue advocates. Shari fulfilled her life long dream of living on an acreage with horses and even included a donkey among their stock.
Shari was preceded in death by her beloved son Bryan Lee Eben Heun, her father Derrill Klinzman and grandparents Delmar and Rose (Taylor) Rawson and Roy and Ella (Husted) Klinzman, a nephew William Tompkins and a niece Kaylynn (Tompkins) Albert.
Shari is survived by her loving husband Dr. Stephen Heun, Taylorsville, her loving mother Irene Klinzman, Iowa City, Iowa, her sisters Cynde Palmer (Glenn Kirvan) Osage Beach, Missouri, Roselyn Bogs (Ricky)Keenesburg, Colorado, Jacqueline Kuepker (Jeff) Iowa City, Iowa, her brothers Gary Klinzman (Michelle) Ainsworth, Iowa, Randy Klinzman (Loralie) Iowa City, Iowa, numerous nieces and nephews in Colorado, Missouri, and Iowa.
A private celebration of life will be held in Iowa City Iowa on a future date.
