

Sheila Ann Norman (Nelson), 69, of Simpsonville, passed away on October 15, 2021. She was born in Louisville on November 16, 1951 to the late Ernest and Alma Jean Nelson. Sheila was a member of the Fairdale High School graduating class of 1970. She went on to work at Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield for over 29 years. After leaving Anthem, she went on to help open the Lowe’s in Shelbyville where she worked until just several months before her passing. She enjoyed seeing her customers and serving her community. In her free time, Sheila enjoyed staying busy and traveling with her family. She was the glue of her family and her loving and caring nature touched everyone whom she met. Her loss will be deeply felt, but although she is gone, we can remember her in the beauty of nature.
In addition to her parents, Sheila is preceded in death by her brother, Ricky Nelson.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Dustin (Michelle) Norman and Tracy Norman; grandchildren, Adara and Greenleigh Norman; siblings, Gary (Niki) Nelson and Brenda Nelson; and a host of extended family members and friends who she loved dearly.
A service to celebrate Sheila’s life will take place at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home (411 Fairdale Road) with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will accept guests for visiting at the funeral home prior to the service from 10:00 am-1:00 pm.
