Susan “Elaine” Thompson (Wills), age 79, of Fairdale, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 18, 2026. The oldest child of the late Columbia Miller and Wilma Jean Presley, she was born in Louisville. Elaine did not work until her children were grown, then she worked at the Fairdale Pic Pac followed by nearly 20 years with Ford Motor. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, bingo, and caring for her pets, raccoons, squirrels and hummingbirds.
She is survived by her husband Rick Thompson; three daughters; Lee Anna Keith (Steve), Suzanne Clark (Darrell) and Tracy Pulford (Chris); six siblings; Petey Read, Jeannie Brown, Nancy Cornelius, Jennifer Geddes (Andy), Dennis Miller (Kim), and Lisa Dudgen; seven grandchildren; Kelee Green (Chris), Kayla Morgan (Chris), Stevie Keith (Alaynna), Kobey Clark, Kelsey Keith, Chance Pulford and Chase Pulford; and three great-grandchildren.
Elaine has chosen to be cremated and later interred at Evergreen Cemetery when her husband Rick joins her. A celebration of life will be held with family at that time.
