Wayne E. Mahanay, 89, of Louisville, formerly of Alaska, passed away August 13, 2013. He was born February 13, 1924 in Denver, CO. He was a Marine Corps veteran of WWII and a member of the American Legion. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Mahanay. Survivors include his daughter, Mitzi Wilson of Lakewood, CO; grandchildren, Terry Pearce(Greg) of Loami, IL and Debra Howard(Tommy) of Louisville; great grandchildren, Wade, Ben, Emily, and Madeline Pearce all of Loami, IL. He is also survived by other grandchildren, great grandchildren, and special friends, including Shelbi Milliner. Funeral service will be 2pm Friday at Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home with interment in Mt. Holly Cemetery. Visitation will be 11am-2pm Friday.
