Bernice D. Wilson passed away September 4th 2019 at Virginia Medical Center. She was 90 years old.

Bernice enjoyed traveling with her late husband Jim Wilson. Together they went on many trips and saw beautiful places. They really enjoyed their trip to Switzerland. Bernice loved gardening and being outside. She loved to watch her hummingbird that would visit often. She really enjoyed going to yard sales to find dolls, then come home and make her own clothes for them. Bernice loved her family and enjoyed all the many times they all gathered together. Death is not something that Christians have to fear, because- for them-death is not the end of the story. It is the gateway to a place of indescribable joy and beauty. It’s the beginning of a new life!

Bernice, such a sweet, gentle lady who so loved her garden and home, reading her poetry, sharing stories of her childhood, sitting outside enjoying being with nature, wearing the color pink, and eating chocolate. Our lives have been richer for knowing this kind and wonderful lady and I will truly miss her company and friendship. Rest in peace dear Bernice.

Loved having this sweet neighbor and so thankful that I was able to spend time with her and get to know her. She always had such a pretty yard, and I loved seeing her work in her yard all the time.
