Betty Ann Burr

Betty Ann Burr, age 91, passed away Friday, February 14, 2020 after a gradual decline in health. She was born in Charleston, West Virginia, the daughter of T.C. and Amelia Fowler. She moved to Washington, D.C. in the early 1940’s where she met and married her love, Daniel Burr, Jr., in August 1946. Betty and Dan moved to Fairfax City in 1955 where they put down roots and raised their family. Betty worked for Acme Markets and Giant Food in various positions until her retirement in 1990. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Dan, and her beloved son, Gary. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Pritchyk and her husband John; four grandchildren, Kari Burr Hanson and her husband Alfred; Kelli Burr and her husband Richard; Daniel D. Burr and his wife Angie; and Amelia Pritchyk; and four great grandchildren, Ainsley Hanson, Kelby Hanson, Conner and Carson Burr. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 11 am in the Fairfax City Cemetery.
