Betty Lee Mills, 88, long time Social Concerns Chairwoman at Pender United Methodist Church, died peacefully at 5:30 p.m. on November 6, 2014, at Capital Hospice in Aldie, Va. She is survived by sisters Barbara Hacker, Lompoc, Cal. and Beverly Ortlieb of Salem, Oregon, husband James and daughter Kathleen of Herndon, son Wayne and wife Carrie of Bealeton, Va. grandson Corey Hood and wife Lindsey, Ft. Bragg, N.C., granddaughter Kelley, husband Adam Curley and great granddaughter Maeve Larkin of Cincinnati, Oh., granddaughter Kristen Hood, Ashburn, Va., and Steve Aten of Fairfax, Va. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dean Hacker of Las Vegas, Nev. Funeral Service will be held for Betty on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 12:00 PM at the Pender United Methodist Church, 12401 Alder Woods Drive, Fairfax, VA 22033 with a committal service immediately following at Stonewall Memory Gardens, 12004 Lee Highway, Manassas, VA 20109.
