

Danica was born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, Canada, to Petar and Dragica Kovarbasich on March 14, 1935. She went to school at Walkerville Collegiate Institute in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. She married Peter Bizic Jr. on June 9, 1962, in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. Before her marriage, she worked as an Insurance Secretary and Assistant in Detroit, Michigan. She left the workforce to raise her family and support her husband’s military career. After he retired from the U.S. Army, Danica became active in politics and worked as a Confidential Assistant in the U.S. Commerce Department, as well as in the office of Presidential Inquiries in the White House during both the Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush administrations.
Danica is preceded in death by her husband, Peter Bizic Jr., and her sister, Mary (Kovarbasich) Topolski.
Danica is survived by her sons, Peter (Colleen) Bizic III of Aldie, VA, and Mark G. Bizic of Fairfax, VA; granddaughter, Amelia L. Bizic of Aldie, VA; and nephew, Randy (Debbie) Topolski of Minden, Ontario, Canada.
Danica will be buried with her husband in Arlington National Cemetery at a date to be determined.
