On Saturday June 13, 2020 Darren M. Bryant son of the late Thomas M. Bryant and Sandra Bryant transitioned peacefully at his home in Mclean VA . He was born on March 27, 1965 in Baltimore Maryland. He graduated from Friendly Sr. High School in 1983. He attended Morgan State University and pursued a degree in Business Marketing. Darren's career began as a buyer in retail. He later married Karen Wilson prior to transitioning to a 20 year career in Information Technology Sales finishing as a Sr. Account Executive.
Darren was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many. Darren lived for people, made fast friends, and never met a stranger. He enjoyed sports, food, and spending time on the water. Darren was more than a friend; he was a mentor, counselor, and a listening ear to many. His boisterous personality was infectious, and his love for children was evident in his interactions with family and friends. Darren was also known for his big ideas, whether it was e-cigarettes or the latest stock tip you could always depend on Darren for a good tip. He was a man's man, emulating many of the values of his late father.
While Darren could always be counted on for a good laugh, he took his role as patriarch of the family seriously. This meant being a mentor, protector, provider, and stern hand when needed.
Darren had pride, evident in everything he did; whether it was taking care of his lawn or being well put together in a fresh suit and bowtie. This pride, instilled in him at a young age by his father, was evident in how he loved and cared for his mother; whether it be picking up groceries or fixing things around the house.
Darren is also survived by his loving sister Leslie Glover, nephew Douglas Glover Jr., nieces Jordan and Lauren Glover, and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins. Darren will be sorely missed, but we are all better for having known, loved, and been loved by him.
