Dorothy Mae Banker Bickham passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026.
Born in Brooklyn, NY on February 1, 1926, Dorothy was the beloved daughter of Howard and Mary Banker. Her life spanned a century of profound change, and she navigated it with grace, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to those she loved.
Dorothy was the devoted wife of the late Bernard D. (Dan) Bickham Sr., sharing a joyful and enduring 55-year marriage until his passing in 2000. Together, they built a life centered on family.
A loving mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother, Dorothy was the bedrock of her family. She was deeply devoted to her family and faith, giving selflessly. Her legacy is one of strength, kindness, and deep devotion.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, two children, Lynn Williams and Peggy Augustine; and two grandchildren, Harold Pleasants and Tricia Bickham.
Dorothy is survived by her loving children, Bernard D. (Dan) Bickham Jr., daughter-in-law Janet, Kevin Bickham, Glenn Bickham, daughter-in-law Anita, and Donna Ross, son-in-law Dante (Dan) and 56 grand, great and great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a host of cherished friends and family who will forever miss her guiding presence.
