Edmund Ruffin Greene

Edmund Ruffin Greene of Centreville and Ophelia, VA, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth “Betty” Butler Greene and devoted father of William Kirkland Greene. Born on January 13, 1955, he was the son of the late Preston A. and Lucy Ruffin Greene of Charles City, VA. He is survived by a brother, William “Bill” Greene of Charles City, and two sisters, Mary Ellen Greene of Richmond and Margaret Greene Adams of Charles City. His family includes a nephew, Preston Greene; two nieces, Grace Greene and Laurel Gates; and many cousins and extended family.

A memorial service was held at Demaine Funeral Home in Fairfax, VA on April 7 and his funeral will be held at Westover Episcopal Church in Charles City, VA on April 16, 2016, 2:00 pm. The family will gather with friends after the service at Westover.
