Gene O. Howell, of Oakton, Virginia passed away peacefully on the morning of August 11, 2015 at the age of 83. He was a lifelong employee of AT&T, and an avid golfer and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet C. Howell. He is survived by his beloved sons Michael, Steve, and Greg, and his cherished grandchildren Candice Kupferer, and Drew Latonik, and his three sisters, Colleen Howell, Nadine Howell, and Anne Harrison. There will be a viewing held at Demaine Funeral Home, Fairfax, on Sunday, August 15 from 2-5 PM. The funeral service will be held at Vale United Methodist Church in Oakton, Monday at 11:00 AM. The burial will take place at Quantico National Cemetery on Tuesday at 10:00 AM. There will be a celebration of life following the burial held at Crystal City Sports Pub from 1-6.
