Gina was born in Timmins, Ontario to Remi Daviau and Sandra Smith on March 19, 1964. She was the second oldest of 4 children. She went to school in Ottawa, Ontario and eventually she met her husband Edward Williams in the 1980s. They married in October 1993 and she became mother to Jean-Marc Daviau-Williams. After Jean-Marc married in August 2025, she was soon-to-be grandmother of Elizabeth Daviau-Williams in August 2026.
During her marriage with Edward Williams, she supported her husband at home during his diplomatic work in the United States Department of State, sending her and Edward around the world, from The Congo to Peru. Gina became a widow when Edward Williams died from illness last year on March 14th, 2025.
Gina was an avid crafter, often knitting and embroidering clothing for family and friends, with quality that lasts. She was charitable and giving to those she loved, always planning future gift ideas. She even had projects in-progress for her granddaughter, Elizabeth Daviau-Williams before she was born.
Gina is preceded in death by her youngest brother, Samuel Daviau, who died December 6th, 2002. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jean-Marc and Isabella Daviau-Williams, two brothers, Robert and Charles Daviau, and a niece, Ashley Daviau, as well as her mother, Sandra Smith.
