We always enjoyed running into "Aunt Jackie" during our neighborhood walks. She was always kind to my 3 year old son. She let him "help" her walk Discus and because of her my son loves all dogs. Discus was his first doggie kiss. We will miss Jackie and always remember her fondly.

Hearing this news makes me very sad. Great teammate, classmate, competitor and person. When I was running at Fla. State, I always tried to make it over to the circle to see my friend throw. Usually very hard to root for Orange and Blue...but she made it easy!!! To the family and close friends, I am deeply sorry for your loss. The world is a little less bright without her shining in it. God Bless Jackie.

Jackie was my friend and teammate on the Track team at UF. We continued to be friends after I left. She was such a funny, friendly and dedicated person in everything she was involved with...people, school, career! She'll be missed by so many! I'm so regretful that life got in the way of our youthful fun! I miss you!

I only learned of Jackie's passing this evening (Jan 22). She was a kind, sweet, dear friend.
Our last "outing" together was when she invited me to escort her to the Virginia High School League Hall of Fame banquet in Oct '14. What a memorable evening for both of us.
I enjoyed many hour-long Saturday morning chats by phone with Jackie. We spoke about everything under the sun. Often our conversations were about our belief in God. She was a woman of strong faith. I know she is resting in Jesus' care.
My prayers are certainly with the family at this tender time of great and unexpected loss.
I will always be appreciative of the friendship she showed me and look forward to a reunion in heaven.
For now, "Farewell Jackie."

Dave, Garry, and families -- let us remember the good times -- from Briar Creek Drive, WTW, UF -- Gainesville, Vienna & DC -- I am glad I got to spend time with Jackie. We enjoyed Gator games in Gville and at DC's Pour House and I was so looking forward to her April visit and UF's Blue Goose award. I know she was a sharp attorney, but she'll always be that rare & exceedingly talented Lady Gator!

My Aunt Ina, Uncle Ole and cousins, Rich and Ron, the Bjornstads, were next door neighbors of "Flash", Barbara, Jackie, Garry and David. I have nothing but the fondest memories of the entire Gordon family. I remember sitting around the table, listening to Jackie tell us about her latest accomplishments at a WTW track meet. Or at states. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing. My heartfelt condolences to the Gordon Family. May she rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear about Jackie. I remember so many great memories with her at UF. She was so nice to me as a new player on the golf team. Although she was on the track team - there were 5 of us sharing an apartment while balancing school and sports. Jackie always was smiling and had it together. I pray that she may rest in peace. I extend my deepest sympathy to the Gordon family.

Jackie was an outstanding individual. She was an inspiration for many stories well after the completion of high school related to true competitive spirit and principled behavior. I have very fond memories of boisterous fun. I hope the Gordon family finds solace in their memories.
