Janet Burr

Janet Carol Fleming Burr born May 3, 1931 to Benjamin Curtiss Fleming and Kathryn Aline Allison Fleming in Washington, D.C. She was raised in Fairfax, Virginia. Janet married Harvey Sturges Burr June 14, 1958. Mrs. Burr is survived by her brother Paul Fleming (Jogi), daughters Carol A. Rogers and Cheryl A. Burr, grandchildren Dean A. Rogers, Jr. (Kamlsha Wilcott ) and Dustin A. Rogers (Suzanne). Mrs. Burr retired from the Department of Defense in 1974. She was a member of Pender United Methodist Church. She was actively involved with the Seniors group and singles ministry. You could find her winning at canasta. She spent ample time caring for her grandchildren, imparting her sense of humor. Visitation, Tuesday, February 10th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00m p.m. at Demaine Funeral Home located at 10565 Main Street, Fairfax, Virginia. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, at Pender United Methodist Church as 12 p.m. Following the service, an interment will be held at Fairfax Memorial Park at 1:45 p.m. with a reception immediately following the service at Pender United Methodist Church.
